Here are the four different elevations, or viewpoints, of the Conner Residence. There is a viewpoint for the north, south, east, and west of this home. Elevations are also extremely important because they show the architect, or buyer, what the home should look like when it is finished. From these views the buyer can determine if they want to change some things or if they straight up love it! There were many new and different layers/ features in these two units as well. Some features of residential elevation are hidden lines, notes, dimensions, walls, roof, doors, windows, hatching, and porches. The only difficult part in this unit was not knowing which layer went where in certain parts of the drawing. This was difficult since we did not have a guideline for 3/4 of the elevations. I also had some trouble trimming since we had to make sure some layers were not visible on top of others. I also had to turn the original first floor plan and line it up with the wall segment to start the elevations. The only real challenge in this unit was getting the correct layers to match up with the original drawing, since it was not in color. These units definitely showed me how cool a home can look after completing several elevations for it.
