This is a sample wall section used to construct the Conner Residence. To complete the wall plan I had to utilize several different features of AutoCAD. Some of these features were Concrete, Dimension, Finish, Hidden, Rebar, Steel, and Wood. The steel, rebar, hidden, and concrete layers came together to form the underground parts of the home. The wood and finish helped with the walls that you actually see and made it structurally sound. I then also used the notes and dimensions to help any future architects to recreate this drawing and give some other useful information. This unit was different because we had different layers, never used before, to work with. I also had to find out most of the dimensions for things on this drawing since very few were given. I also got to use the hatch feature a lot more while making the wall. But once I got the hang of it, I quickly completed this unit as well. A wall section is extremely important in a home. It is important so that you have a structurally sound foundation that will not come crashing down on you.
