Wall (Wall Stud) - Wood Framed: A vertical framing in a building used to support the home. Serves as a nailing base for all the covering material. They must be strong and structurally sound or the house will come down.
Floor System (Floor Joist) - Wood Framed: The surface that most homes are covered with and are used for walking on. Floors may be stone, wood, bamboo, metal, or any other material that can support the expected load. They often contain a sub-floor for more support.
Roof System (Rafter or Truss) - Wood Framed: Used to provide a slope surface so that rain and snow slide off it. Slopes often range from 1 - 15cm. They are also usually covered with shingles made of asphalt.
